Privacy and Confidentiality

Privacy and confidentiality are essential in establishing and maintaining relationships with our clients.  Fishman Appraisal Services does not disclose nonpublic information collected during the provision of appraisal practice services to our Clients.

The intent of our privacy and confidentiality policy is to protect nonpublic personal information in accordance with the Graham-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), the Federal Trade Commission Final Rule implementing the GLBA (Privacy of Consumer Financial Information 16 CFR Part 313) and the Interagency Guidelines Establishing Standards for Safeguarding Customer Information and Rescission of Year 2000 Standards for Safety and Soundness.

The only limited disclosure of nonpublic personal information that may occur is as required by federal and state law, and the professional review requirements of the Appraisal Institute and its duly authorized representatives.

In accordance with the Confidentiality Provision of the Ethics Rule in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), the appraiser will not disclose confidential information or assignment results to any party not specifically authorized by the Client.
